We are looking for an experienced Direct Materials Buyer to support purchasing and material management for a medical device manufacturing environment.

Work Type: Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience: 2–5+ years of direct materials purchasing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage direct materials purchasing including raw materials, electronics, plastic tubing, labels, and production components

• Review purchase requisitions, pricing, lead times, and inventory requirements

• Create, issue, and manage Purchase Orders (POs)

• Use SAP/ERP systems to manage purchasing and material information

• Monitor supplier orders, lead times, deliveries, and inventory levels

• Resolve invoice and purchasing discrepancies

• Update ERP master data, including lead times and order quantities

• Identify potential material shortages and proactively take corrective action

• Collaborate with planning, manufacturing, engineering, quality, finance, and suppliers
