Job description

Job Summary:
Integrated Data Services (IDS) is a leading provider of custom software products and Government financial management services. They are seeking a Business Data Analyst to provide data analytics support for government customers, collaborating with senior leadership to perform data extraction, analysis, and visualization.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Gather business requirements, analyze source systems, define underlying data sources and transformation requirements, design data models, and develop metadata for data analysis and visualization
โ€ข Acquire and analyze data and metrics across the enterprise to learn how they can be incorporated into data visualizations and dashboards
โ€ข Collaborate with business areas and project teams to elicit, identify, prioritize, and document data visualization and business intelligence requirements
โ€ข Serve as a functional and technical data visualization and business intelligence subject matter expert
โ€ข Translate business analysis and business needs into prototypes concepts of reports and dashboards and contribute to design and visualization best practices
โ€ข Utilize business intelligence tools to take dashboard requirements and develop deliverable solutions
โ€ข Document data acquisition, data management and data governance processes
โ€ข Make and implement process improvements and efficiencies
โ€ข Create training materials and user guides
โ€ข Conduct group and one-on-one training sessions with end users
โ€ข Otherwise support a government financial office
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Minimum of ten (10) years of human resources and manpower experience within a Department of War organization.
โ€ข Deep knowledge of manpower business processes developed through leadership roles.
โ€ข This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics or other related discipline.
โ€ข Experience in lieu of education may be considered if the individual has fourteen (14) or more years of relevant experience.
โ€ข Must be able to sit, type, hear, see, and speak for extended periods of time.
โ€ข Must consistently work and type on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
โ€ข Must be able to communicate accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
โ€ข Must be able to lift/carry at least 15 lbs.
โ€ข May be required to move about inside an office to access file cabinets, office supplies, etc.
โ€ข Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.
โ€ข Some travel may be required.
โ€ข Normal work schedule hours may vary, Monday through Friday. May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines or to fulfill travel obligations.
Preferred:
โ€ข Candidates with experience using Business Intelligence (BI) and self-service data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Qlik View and HR skills are highly preferred.
โ€ข Experience with Strategic Resource Management (SRM) and Resource Identification Tool (RIT) is preferred.
