About the Role
Are you energized by leading complex electrical construction projects, developing high-performing teams, and delivering excellence from preconstruction through project closeout? We're looking for an experienced Division 26 Electrical Project Manager who brings strong leadership, operational discipline, and technical expertise to fast-paced commercial, industrial, mission-critical, and infrastructure projects.
In this role, you'll lead multiple electrical construction projects while serving as a trusted partner to clients, field leadership, and internal stakeholders. You'll be responsible for driving project execution, mentoring project engineers and coordinators, managing financial performance, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do – Lead with Clarity. Deliver with Confidence.
  • Lead multiple concurrent Division 26 electrical construction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Oversee scheduling, procurement, subcontractors, manpower planning, change management, and project documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, general contractors, engineering firms, and trade partners. Maintain proactive communication regarding project progress, milestones, risks, and resolution strategies.
  • Coach Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers, and field leadership while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Lead with integrity and create an environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Review construction drawings, electrical specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements. Partner with field leadership to maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local jurisdictional requirements.
  • Own project budgets, forecasts, labor productivity, procurement, subcontractor management, billing, and profitability. Identify change order opportunities, mitigate project risks, and maintain disciplined financial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Safety, QA/QC, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful project execution. Lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, client meetings, and project closeout activities.
  • Promote a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and exceptional client service. Lead by example while reinforcing Instrata's commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • 7–10 years of experience managing large-scale Division 26 electrical construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, or data center electrical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, procurement, and change management.
  • Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 (preferred), and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and electrical construction best practices.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Why Join Us?
  • Impact: Lead electrical infrastructure projects that support mission-critical facilities and complex commercial environments.
  • Leadership: Influence project success while mentoring the next generation of construction leaders.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside experienced electrical professionals dedicated to safety, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Growth: Advance your career within a growing organization that invests in leadership development and long-term success.
  • Culture: Join a people-first organization built on integrity, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
Work Environment amp; Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based with frequent visits to active construction sites.
  • Regular standing, walking, climbing stairs, and navigating active construction environments.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel and occasional after-hours work may be required based on project demands.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
