    Job description

Company Description Inline Plastics, Inc., founded in 1996 and based in Ontario, CA, is a leading provider of custom plastic extrusions serving commercial, medical, water, and spa industries. The company’s experienced team offers specialized capabilities in extrusion die development, R&D, quality control, and the production of custom profiles, shapes, tubing, and rods using a wide range of thermoplastics. Inline Plastics integrates deburring and many secondary operations directly into the extrusion process, helping customers reduce costs and turnaround times. The organization is known for its use of certified materials for FDA, structural, U.V., U.L., and NSF requirements, as well as custom color matching. Customers rely on Inline Plastics for superior quality, competitive pricing, and exceptionally fast response and delivery times.

Role Description The Experienced Extrusion Operator is a full-time, on-site role based at Inline Plastics, Inc. in Ontario, CA. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion lines to produce custom plastic profiles, shapes, tubing, and rods according to customer specifications and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing materials, adjusting process parameters, performing in-process inspections, and documenting production data to maintain consistency and traceability. The Experienced Extrusion Operator will also perform routine equipment checks, assist with die changes, and support basic maintenance to minimize downtime. Collaboration with the quality and production teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize throughput, and ensure safe work practices is an essential part of this role.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience operating plastic extrusion equipment and working with thermoplastic materials in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications, including measurements and tolerances.
    • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles, machine setup, and troubleshooting of extrusion lines and related tooling.
    • Understanding of quality control practices, including visual inspection, dimensional checks, and proper documentation of results.
    • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow standardized procedures, and commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping.
    • Capability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
    • Prior experience in plastics extrusion for commercial or medical applications is preferred; familiarity with FDA, U.L., or NSF material requirements is a plus.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in manufacturing, plastics, or industrial technology is beneficial.
