    Job Summary (Primary function)
    The Sr Manager/Associate Director, Contracting & Pricing supports pricing, contracting, strategy development process in conjunction with colleagues in Product Strategy, Market Access, Finance, Legal and customer-facing account teams. The Sr. Manager / Associate Director manages the day-to-day activities as well as oversees contract operations & administrative functions.

    Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

    • Support and lead day-to-day operational activities such as rebates, chargebacks, government reporting, contract writing/drafting and governance approvals.
    • Chairperson and administrative lead for the Contract Governance Committee.
    • Oversee contract operations & administration functions in conjunction with finance colleagues to engage/manage external outsource partners for claims and government pricing processing.
    • Assist contract development and approval process with customer facing account roles in coordination with Legal, Finance and Market Access leadership.
    • Support the development of contract strategies that align with Brand access objectives for launch & in-line products that meet financial and access goals.
    • Collaborate with health economics team to develop cost-effective outcomes contracts that support access goals, payer objectives and appropriate patient access.
    • Proactively make recommendations on pricing strategies (in-line or launch) based on ongoing evaluation of market dynamics and modeling related to managed care, reimbursement, and/or legislative changes.
    • Collaborate with Market Access and Insight colleagues as necessary to support payer research, advisory boards and forecasting.
    • Pulls, builds Ad Hoc or queued reporting capabilities for modeling purposes to support Contract Strategy, Market Access teams to help support the business and evolving landscape

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • MBA or MS in related field is preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
    • 5+ years in pricing and contracting, market access, marketing, finance, or other analytical role in the pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
    • Robust understanding of the U.S. Government and Commercial reimbursement environment and the government price reporting calculations, obligations and rules.
    • Strong oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills with senior management presence; able to communicate at all organizational levels.
    • Market Access product launch experience required.
    • Understanding within the Market Access space. Includes knowledge of the pharmacy and medical benefits, Medicare Part B, C, and D, Medicaid (FFS and Managed), Federal purchasing programs, and distribution models.
    • Understands the evolving healthcare policy and legislative environment (IRA).
    • Excellent attention to detail, quantitative, analytical skills with ability to conceptualize problems and solutions.
    • Highly proficient with financial modelling as well as Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
    • Facilitate and familiar with Payer/GPO/PBM contract language, contract terms & conditions preferred.
