Job description

The primary responsibility of the Inside Sales Representative is delivering an exceptional customer service experience when communicating with our customers and applying extreme attention to accuracy when entering orders. Inside Sales Representative's will face a variety of customer requests; primarily taking orders for delivery, requests for pricing, and advice on our product line. Position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service by taking customer orders accurately and courteously to allow the dispatcher and scheduler to arrange for on-time delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Manage large volume of inbound and outbound calls.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure under stressful conditions.
  • Identify customer needs and be able to ask clarifying questions.
  • Upsell value added products when applicable to customers.
  • Build sustainable relationships with customers, both internal and external.
  • Meet personal and team objectives.
  • Provide sales support to customers.
  • Receive orders and schedule them properly.
  • Give pricing for COD customers.
  • Record customer orders accurately into Command Data system.
  • Guide and recommend products for specific applications.
  • Work very closely with dispatcher and scheduler to ensure customer commitments can be achieved.
  • Record all changes requested by customer accurately and promptly in Command and advise the dispatcher of such changes as soon as they have been recorded.
  • Responsible for order accuracy through attention to detail & timely correction to errors.
  • Assist and participate in new initiatives and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Strong phone skills -- verbal and active listening.
  • Problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Team work: Supportive, collaborative and cooperative.
  • Detail oriented with strong data entry skills.
  • Customer focus and adaptability to caller. Maintain a professional demeanour with internal and external clients. Maintain a professional and calm attitude under stressful situations.
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to work in a high stress and fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of market geography.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a highly fluid environment.
  • Willingness to Learn business specific computer programs.
  • Willingness to learn our products, their applications and our customers habits.
  • Basic knowledge of concrete and the construction industry.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree a plus. Or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Google GSuite and MS Office.
  • Spanish speaking or bilingual a plus
