Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service Associate who is bilingual in Spanish and English to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions accurately, and supporting store operations in a fast-paced grocery environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with POS systems, and a passion for assisting customers. Prior supervising experience and familiarity with retail sales are a plus. Training provided to qualified candidates. 

Duties

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and securely
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Conduct product demos and provide information about merchandise
• Maintain merchandising standards through stocking shelves and organizing displays
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising
• Ensure excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone
• Support store operations by performing basic cashiering, customer service, and retail math calculations
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members as needed during shifts

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential for effective communication with diverse customers
• Prior experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
• Experience with supervising or leading team members is a plus
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and product demos is desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required to ensure smooth store operations
