Job Description
The Estimator III is responsible for preparing quotes for mostly non-standard amp; custom products as directed by the Estimating Manager. They are responsible for reviewing quote requests and communicating with sales team and/or the customer directly to accurately understand the quote requirements and prepare pricing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Read amp; analyze requests for quotes, drawings, pictures, emails, etc. to create price quotes.
- Prepare quotes accurately and in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding department performance standards.
- Send completed quotes to customers and/or sales team, when required.
- Communicate directly with customers to obtain information required to prepare quotes.
- Provide technical and/or pricing support to lower-level estimators, sales and customers as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree or Equivalent experience and training.
- Minimum of 5 years estimating and construction knowledge, metal fabrication and manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of estimating practices and software, Bluebeam software preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Typical office environment with periods of time spent on the manufacturing floor.
- Occasional lifting no greater than 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Travel TBD
