Hight Logistics is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace across our two company locations. This role focuses primarily on janitorial services and facility upkeep, while also assisting with light building maintenance and general repairs.

The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment, enjoys staying active throughout the day, and is willing to assist with a variety of facility-related tasks.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the cleanliness of offices, break rooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces through routine janitorial services.
• Perform regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address issues.
• Complete general building repairs, including:
  • Painting and wall patching
  • Replacing light fixtures and bulbs
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Door, lock, and hardware repairs
  • General fixture maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and facility systems.
• Keep outdoor areas clean and well-maintained.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, workstation setups, and special facility projects.
• Monitor facility conditions and report major repairs or safety concerns to management.
• Follow all company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Support other facility-related projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, or general repair work preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, and general repair techniques.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work across multiple facilities.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and cleaning products.
