Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse functions including shipping/receiving while maintaining workflow and smooth coordination between office and warehouse staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving: Assign dock doors to drivers as they check in. Coordinate staff to unload in a timely manner.
  • Shipping: Assign dock doors to drivers as they check in. Check staged orders for accuracy. Process paperwork and perform shipping procedures as detailed in our SOP.
  • Backup Support: Operate forklift from time to time to cover operations when workload is high or staff is short due to PTO.
  • Warehouse SOP: Maintain a safe and clean working environment as per company policy.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving.
  • Ability to operate sit-down electric forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with RF equipment.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.


Skills:

The required skills such as reading and interpreting documents enable the Warehouse Clerk to understand and comply with safety rules and operational instructions, ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations. Proficiency with pallet jacks and clamp trucks is essential for moving and handling materials accurately, which supports timely order picking and shipping/receiving processes. Depth perception is critical for safely maneuvering equipment in tight spaces and stacking materials properly. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures allows the clerk to verify shipments and maintain accurate inventory records, reducing errors and delays. Additionally, understanding operating and maintenance instructions helps the clerk perform routine equipment checks and maintenance, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
