    Job description

Job Title: Enterprise Systems Project Manager

    Location: Greater St. Louis, MO

    Start Date: Immediate

    About Gateway:

Gateway Fiber is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Enterprise Systems Project Manager. Gateway Fiber is a locally owned and operated internet service provider on a mission to positively impact communities through better internet. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. Gateway provides faster, more reliable internet with a simple pricing model and industry-leading customer service.

    Gateway’s Beliefs About People:

Gateway believes that people want to know they are cared for both professionally and personally at work. We all share a clear vision of where the company is going and how our contributions positively affect our culture and operational performance. At Gateway, we lookout for each other and actively find ways to help one another. We all have a role in defining the path forward towards the company’s vision. We strive for a transparent environment where information is readily shared and our teams feel safe to share feedback, even if it might seem unpopular.  Someone in the right role with the tools to succeed can operate autonomously to meet their objectives. Gateway’s beliefs about people shape the company and the way we do business.

    Expected Outcomes and Requirements:

Gateway Fiber is hiring an Enterprise Systems Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of systems related initiatives across the organization. This role serves as the driver of cross functional system projects, ensuring implementations, enhancements, and process improvements are delivered on time, aligned with business needs, and fully adopted. In addition to project leadership, this role maintains hands-on ownership of key business systems, ensuring platforms are reliable, well-configured, and continuously improved to support operations. This is a hybrid role combining project management, system administration, and business process alignment. The Enterprise Systems Project Manager is expected to contribute in the following significant ways:

    • Lead system-related projects end-to-end, including scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication
    • Drive cross-functional coordination across business teams, vendors, and technical resources
    • Ensure successful delivery through clear requirements, strong documentation, and smooth rollout/adoption
    • Maintain project visibility via status reporting, updates, and stakeholder communication
    • Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, workflows, and pain points
    • Translate business needs into actionable system requirements and solutions
    • Identify and drive improvements in processes, automation, and system performance
    • Serve as system owner for assigned platforms, including configuration, access management, and support
    • Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and effective issue resolution in coordination with vendors
    • Lead post-implementation support, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
    • Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and system standards to ensure consistency and adoption

What you'll bring to the table:

    • Proven experience leading system-driven projects from planning through execution (scope, timelines, risk management, and communication)
    • Experience working with business systems (OSS/BSS, CRM, communications, or similar platforms)
    • Ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions
    • Hands-on experience with system configuration, administration, and workflow management
    • Strong analytical skills, including ability to extract, manage, and interpret data across systems
    • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity by questioning assumptions, exploring new technologies, and continuously learning to drive system improvements and innovation.
    • Experience supporting reporting needs, including creating and maintaining reports
    • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills across diverse stakeholders
    • Proven ability to create SOPs, process documentation, and system standards
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel for managing large datasets)
    • An associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System or Business Administration or a closely related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Ability to work with a team or independently and make sound decisions.
    • Ability to sit or stand while working for extended periods.
