Job description
WHO WE ARE:

THE OPPORTUNITY:Our CNC Machinists are responsible for the setup and operation of our state-of-the-art CNC machinery, as well as the quality of the industry leading tools we produce. This position will be for our second shift.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:- Manufacture production orders for several CNC grinders.
- Edit/maintain CNC tool and cutter grinding programs.
- Perform first piece and in-process inspection of product.
- Assist coworkers in keeping equipment running efficiently.
- Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with Walter and Star CNC tool grinding machines.
- Software experience with Toolstudio, Numroto, and/or Walter Helicheck a plus.
- Knowledge of cutting tool geometries.
- Blue print reading abilities.
- Ability to inspect, monitor and maintain quality.
- Competent in the use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to follow Engineering documented including but not limited to:
- Geometry specification sheets
- Product drawings
- Job routers
- Process sheets
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability for attention to details.
- Ability to work independently.
- Regular standing and frequent walking.
- Occasional climbing stairs, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
