Your Responsibilities as a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer:

As our Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working alongside senior engineers and project managers, you will contribute to projects from initial planning and design through construction and startup while continuing to develop your technical and project management expertise.

  • Perform engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, and evaluations to support planning, design, and operational improvements.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, calculations, construction drawings, specifications, permit applications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Support project management activities, including project schedules, budgets, resource coordination, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout project development and execution.
  • Conduct field investigations, facility assessments, site visits, data collection, and system evaluations.
  • Provide construction administration support, including submittal reviews, responding to contractor inquiries, construction observation, and startup assistance.
  • Assist with proposal development, scopes of work, project budgets, and schedules for new and existing clients.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
  • Support and mentor junior engineering staff while contributing to a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred, or ability to obtain Idaho licensure within 12 months.
  • 5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, infrastructure design, and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, collection and distribution systems, pump stations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Experience working within a consulting engineering environment is preferred.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling, infrastructure master planning, treatment process evaluations, or facility assessments is a plus.

Why you'll love working for us:

  • Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability.

  • Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.
  • Performance-based bonuses or other incentives.
  • Working with the best and brightest in the industry.
