Founded in 2016 and inspired by a graduate student's project, The Store has served and mobilized the GW community. GW community members have volunteered and donated funds to support the Store. The Store has been run by students since its inception, and also has widespread support from the Division for Student Affairs, the GW Student Government Association, Facilities Management, the Office for Sustainability, the Milken Institute School of Public Health, among other partners. GW's main partner in terms of food security education and non-perishable food purchases is the Capital Area Food Bank.
The Store Managers will be responsible for supporting the daily operations in the Store by helping to meet and greet shoppers, receive and report shopper feedback, ensure cleanliness, restock items, and perform daily health and safety inspections.

- Check for any facilities-related concerns with the Store and report any facilities issues
- Help train and support volunteers who may be present in the Store
- Assist the Program Associate, Basic Needs Support & Graduate Assistant, The Store with other duties as assigned.
The position is based at GW's Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC, and will be an in-person role. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. Please note that this position will at times require heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds and active movement.
Standard Position Description The student will assist in the administrative functions of special projects. Tasks may include:assist with project or program development and maintenance, perform administrative tasks, assist in data collection and data entry, attend and assist in the scheduling of meetings, provide support for events related to the project/program. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

- Proficiency with Canva or similar digital design tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Availability M-F 10AM-7PM, with some weekend flexibility
