Job description

Job Purpose:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for customer and carrier communication and managing documentation to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing shipping documents, such as bills of lading, pick lists, packing lists, and shipping labels
  • Create folders for outbound loads
  • Assign pick and load orders to warehouse workers
  • Check drivers in and out
  • Maintain and post shipments in CMS
  • Work with carriers, logistics providers, and internal departments to schedule pickups and resolve any issues
  • Work with load planning to ensure loads are full before being dispatched
  • Answer questions from customers and internal departments regarding shipments and status updates
  • Keep office space neat and organized
  • Answer phones in shipping office

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 12 months’ cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
  • Previous administrative experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Swing reach truck, stock picker and forklift experience preferred
  • Experience with RF Scanner and Warehouse Management Computer Software

  • Willingness to learn to operate powered industrial trucks

Physical Requirements
