Position Summary
Greene County Schools is seeking a Director of Exceptional Student Education to lead the vision,
implementation, and continuous improvement of services for students with disabilities. Reporting to the Deputy Superintendent of Learning and Support. This role ensures that all students receive high-quality instruction, appropriate supports, and equitable access to learning in alignment with state and federal requirements.
The Director will provide leadership in compliance, instructional practices, and program development
while building capacity among school leaders and staff to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Valid Georgia certification in Special Education and/or Educational Leadership.
• Experience in special education leadership at the school or district level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, Georgia Department of Education requirements, and CCRPI.
• Demonstrated ability to lead improvement efforts and support student achievement.
