GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that all Goodwill policies and procedures are implemented and consistently followed at all locations within the region To encourage and promote a mutual associate/customer/donor relationship which enhances the profitability of the Company. To establish positive relationships with clients and associates to successfully implement Goodwill's mission services
. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To be responsible for the strategic planning and development of the assigned region to maximize retail market share and donations, using Goodwill Industries International's market potential as a benchmark. 2. To lead the development of the assigned stores to maximize retail market share and donations in compliance with the annual operating budget. 3. To ensure the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the Retail Stores, Processing, Attended Donation Centers and transportation functions within the assigned region. 4. To hire, train and supervise Management, retail and production team members to ensure goals of retail division are met. 5. To ensure that annual sales and net profit goals are met for the assigned region. 6. To assure that safety practices and loss control measures are in place and work closely with Loss Control Director if problem should arise. 7. To prepare monthly reports on region activities and performance. 8. To perform all other duties as assigned.
Education
: High School diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Work Experience: High School diploma and at least eight years retail experience and five years supervisory experience; or, a Bachelor's Degree and five years retail experience. Must have five-year experience supervising multi-store operations in the discount, variety, or clothing business. Previous Goodwill experience is preferred. Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors. Safety & Security: Responsible for following all safety, and security of, retail stores, processing, transportation and Attended Donation Centers within the assigned region or as directed by Goodwill policy. Must have valid and current SC Driver's License with limited points for violations.
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday or whatever hours are required to meet the professional requirements of the job. Work Attire: Each associate should present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that will be reflective of Goodwill's positive image in the community.
