SERVER POSITION SUMMARY

Each server's primary objective is to ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, professional, gracious service, while creating an exceptional experience for every single guest. The ideal server has a great work ethic, a passion for hospitality, and upholds A Good Egg Dining Group's mission to positively impact lives by building enduring memories and multi-generational relationships through a dedication to executional excellence, intentional service, extreme hospitality, and culinary trust.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you're there to personally take care of them.
• Identify first-time guests and give appropriate menu tours.
• Maintain impeccable knowledge of food, beverage, and bar processes and services, so you can answer questions and make meal recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
• Assist guests with special dietary needs.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter into POS system.
• Own the guest experience from placing the order, order delivery, and follow up throughout the meal.
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
• Perform running duties and side work at the beginning and end of each shift as assigned and required.
• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant before, during and after service.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
  
• Accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
• A willingness to work with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Must have average to above average knowledge regarding beer, wine and spirits.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and safely lift up to 25 pounds.

HOST POSITION SUMMARY

As the first and last face guests see, our hosts create warm welcomes and fond farewells. This position is ideal for someone upbeat, organized, and quick on their feet. This role will coordinate seating and make sure the dining room runs smoothly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet every guest with warmth and a smile
• Answer phone calls and manage reservations in OpenTable
• Provide accurate wait times and handle special seating requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand
• Assist with bussing or drink service if needed
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them back

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 21+
• No experience required - we'll train the right person!
• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
• Friendly and calm under pressure

EXPO/SERVER ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY

This role serves as the bridge between the BOH and FOH team, ensuring every plate looks great, goes out on time, and reaches guests just the way it should.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor ticket times and maintain food consistency throughout the shift and on a day-to-day basis.
• Communicate all requests and issues effectively between the FOH and BOH.
• Maintain the flower cooler and overall organization of its contents.
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and assist fellow employees as situations arise.
• Assist in pre-bussing, crumbing, and bussing tables where needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant including restrooms, counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
• Assist in the restocking and replenishment of to-go supplies.
  
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Well-organized.

Former BOH experience.
Ability to lead and direct people.
Possess a basic knowledge of dining room service procedures and functions.
Possess a basic knowledge of kitchen, food safety, and health code procedures.
Ability to work in high pressure situations.
Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
