    Current Electric has been up and running for 37 years, and Advanced Energy Systems for 27 years. We have been a licensed dealer with Generac for 27 years and are one of their largest dealers in the area.

    We are looking for our next rockstar Generator Installer to join our team!

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced Generator Installation Technician to install manual and automatic standby generators, transfer switches, and related electrical systems for residential and commercial customers. This role involves electrical wiring, equipment installation, and service upgrades both indoors and outdoors.

    Safety is a top priority, and the ideal candidate will be a dependable professional with strong electrical knowledge and experience working with generator systems, preferably Generac products. Most projects will focus on residential air-cooled standby generators.


    Responsibilities:
    • Install standby generators, transfer switches, and related equipment.
    • Read and execute electrical plans for backup power systems.
    • Install electrical distribution and safety components, including panels, breakers, and switches.
    • Connect and test wiring in electrical systems and networks.
    • Prepare and install conduit and route wiring as needed.
    • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes.

    Qualifications:
    • 1-3 years of experience installing back up generators.
    • 1-3 years of experience with residential electrical work, specifically residential wiring.
    • Ability to use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
    • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to perform physically demanding work and work overtime when needed.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
