About the Role

Galloway & Company is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead commercial land development projects throughout Florida. This position combines project management, client relationship management, technical oversight, and team leadership in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate has experience managing land development projects from planning and permitting through construction, while balancing budgets, schedules, quality standards, and client expectations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a leader for internal project teams, helping deliver successful projects across a variety of market sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple land development projects simultaneously, overseeing scope, budget, schedule, quality, and overall project performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Manage commercial land development projects throughout Florida, coordinating with municipalities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide technical oversight for site development projects, including grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, permitting, and other civil engineering design elements.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company standards and client expectations.
  • Prepare and review proposals, qualification packages, contracts, project work plans, and other client-facing materials in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior management to resolve complex project challenges, secure necessary approvals, and support successful project execution.
  • Lead internal quality control efforts and ensure project deliverables meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Mentor, supervise, and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers, supporting professional growth and team development.
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management, networking, client retention, and pursuit of new opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and generate additional project opportunities.
  • Travel as needed to support client meetings, project pursuits, and business development activities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing commercial land development projects within the Florida market.

  • Strong stormwater design experience, including pond design and modeling using ICPR (Stormwise) software.

  • Thorough understanding of Florida statewide stormwater regulations and Water Management District permitting requirements.

  • Experience utilizing Bentley software, including StormCAD, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.

  • Demonstrated client management and relationship-building skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor.

  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring, and developing junior engineers and design staff.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with Florida land development and permitting processes.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with stormwater management, drainage, or utility design.
  • Experience using ICPR, StormCAD, WaterCAD, or similar civil engineering software.
  • PMP certification.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering consulting or land development.
  • Experience managing commercial land development projects.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
  • Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and permitting authorities.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring engineering staff.

Estimated salary for this position is $112,000-$150,000.
