Role Overview

Frontera Healthcare Network is seeking a compassionate Staff Physician (MD or DO) to deliver comprehensive primary care services in Brady, TX. Working as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, build lasting community relationships, and help expand healthcare access in rural Texas.


Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Primary Care: Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions.
  • Treatment & Diagnostic Review: Formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, coordinate specialty referrals, and review lab and imaging results in a timely manner.
  • Documentation & EHR: Maintain accurate, complete electronic health records (EHR) adhering to network protocols and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and behavioral health providers while mentoring clinical staff and students.
  • Quality & Outreach: Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles, quality improvement initiatives, clinical policy reviews, and community wellness events.

Requirements:Qualifications:Required Credentials & Experience:
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Texas Physician License.
  • Registrations: Current DEA and DPS registrations to practice in Texas.
  • Certifications: Active BLS or CPR for Healthcare Professionals certification.
  • Compliance: Up-to-date with specialty board and state Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
  • Hospital Privileges: Ability to hold privileges at designated area hospitals (when required).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1+ years of direct clinical practice experience as a licensed physician.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Texas Medical Practice Act, PCMH principles, and EHR documentation systems.
