FMGI- Project Manager- Ground Up Division, Maitland, FL Office
Position Summary
The Project Manager is a management-level position responsible for leading the Project Team and reporting directly to the Orlando VP of Construction. This individual partners closely with the Director of Operations to ensure each project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to FMGI's quality standards.
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the Owner or Owner's Representative and assumes full financial and operational ownership of assigned projects.
Target Salary Range: (Based on Experience level) Plus 15-30% Bonus

Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience managing Retail or Commercial Construction Projects
- Experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, multifamily, or commercial development preferred
- Demonstrated success managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong understanding of contracts, scope review, LOIs, and change order processes
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and financial reporting
- Comfortable working both in the field and office environments
- Advanced computer proficiency with project management platforms and electronic filing systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Drive project buyout and subcontractor procurement
- Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules and preconstruction timelines
- Conduct and lead all Pre-Construction meetings (in-person or virtual)
- Oversee job setup, logistics planning, and mobilization
- Ensure successful project closeout including inspections, turnover documentation, and equipment reconciliation
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as single point of contact for Owners and Owner's Representatives
- Provide accurate, timely, and professional project reporting
- Maintain proactive communication regarding schedule, budget, and field conditions
- Build long-term client relationships that align with FMGI's service-driven culture
Field Collaboration & Oversight
- Work closely with Superintendents to align field execution with project plan
- Partner with Director of Operations on Superintendent assignments and performance
- Visit job sites regularly to ensure schedule adherence, safety, and quality standards
- Support problem resolution and decision-making in real time
Team Development & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and coach Project Engineers and support staff
- Champion FMGI's culture of accountability, teamwork, and ownership
- Foster collaboration between field and office teams
