Job Skills / Requirements POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing the day‑to‑day physical security operations across First Coast Security's corporate facilities and client sites. Reporting directly to the Director of Security, this individual serves as a hands‑on operational leader who bridges strategic security initiatives with ground‑level execution. This role is ideal for a security professional ready to step into a junior director capacity with clear visibility for advancement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operations & Site Security
  • Manage daily physical security operations across all First Coast Security facilities and client‑facing posts, including access control, CCTV, guard force deployment, and visitor management systems
  • Conduct regular security assessments, site audits, and vulnerability evaluations; present findings and remediation plans to senior leadership
  • Manage team reports on service level agreement as established cadence
  • Ensure reporting is accessible and delivered on due date
  • Manage the quality of the data is to contract standard
  • Oversee the performance of contracted and proprietary security personnel, ensuring adherence to post orders, appearance standards, and professional conduct
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site‑specific security plans, emergency response protocols, and business continuity procedures
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate security supervisors and officers; manage scheduling, timekeeping, and performance documentation
  • Identify training needs and coordinate onboarding, drills, and ongoing professional development for security staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the First Coast Security team
Incident Management & Investigations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security incidents, conducting or overseeing thorough investigations and ensuring proper documentation
  • Coordinate with HR, Legal, and executive leadership on workplace violence, theft, fraud, and other sensitive matters
  • Maintain incident tracking systems and produce regular reporting, trend analysis, and metrics for senior leadership review
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Facilities, IT, HR, Legal, and Executive teams to align security practices with organizational needs
  • Manage relationships with contract security providers, technology vendors, and local law enforcement agencies
  • Assist in budget preparation, invoice review, and cost management for the First Coast Security department
QUALIFICATIONS Required
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in physical security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Demonstrated experience managing guard forces, access control systems, and CCTV infrastructure in a corporate environment
  • Strong working knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and risk mitigation principles
  • Proven ability to conduct workplace investigations and prepare professional written reports
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency with security management systems (access control, visitor management, incident reporting platforms)
Preferred
  • Prior experience in a multi‑site or corporate campus security environment
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Military, law enforcement, or federal security background a plus
