    Filtran LLC, located in Des Plaines, Illinois, is a global leader in filtration solutions and a trusted name around the world for quality automatic transmission filters. We are a top automotive supplier to both the Original Equipment and the Aftermarket; globally providing a full product line.
    The Floor Material Handler is responsible for the orderly movement of material in and out of the various manufacturing departments. A Floor Material Handler will supply equipment and operators with materials to insure the smooth and uninterrupted flow of the production processes.
    Responsibilities
    Ensure Machine Operators are supplied with necessary materials in a timely manner.
    Operates manual pallet trucks and other non-powered material handling equipment to transport parts, stock, and supplies to work areas and between departments.
    Orders materials from stock for use on the production floor.
    Operates hoist and carton sealers.
    Lift boxes, totes and parts from pallets and baskets and place them on conveyors or tables.
    Removes empty pallets, boxes, etc. from the area.
    Cleans tote pans and does sweeping and/or mopping in order to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
    At the end of each shift, must ensure machines are fully stocked with material and the areas are ready for the next shift to begin work.
    Ensure all trash is disposed of properly during and/or at the end of the shift.
    May perform Machine Operator duties as required.
    Is responsible for following all plant safety rules.
    Qualifications
    High School diploma or equivalent.
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    Ability to read work order and determine the parts needed to assure uninterrupted production on the assembly lines.
    Ability to read and speak English in a proficient manner.
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers is preferred.
    Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
    Able to bend, twist, turn, squat with no restrictions.
    Repetitive lifting; lift up to 75 lbs periodically.
    Good vision and hearing.
