  • Restore fiber following damage, relocations, or network upgrades

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct OTDR testing (bi-directional when required) at 1310/1550/1625 nm
  • Perform power meter/light source testing and connector inspection/cleaning
  • Verify splice loss, reflectance, ORL, and link performance against project specifications
  • Identify and resolve issues such as macro-bends, high loss events, and poor splices

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate as-built documentation, splice records, and fiber allocation records
  • Follow company naming conventions, file structure, and QA validation processes
  • Update asset and job tracking systems as required

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety policies
  • Maintain clean, organized, and secure work areas
  • Handle fiber materials, chemicals, and tools safely

Team & Operations Support

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, QA, and construction crews
  • Support network turn-ups, cutovers, and emergency restorations
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and inspection scopes
  • Strong understanding of fiber construction, splicing methods, and testing standards

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FTTH, OSP, and backbone networks

Physical & Work Requirements
