Job description

This position is responsible for the review of complex and high profile tasks as listed. Provides timely reviews and corrections of high risk/complex entries while coordinating and interfacing with customers. These entries have been identified as complex entries due to Customs Border and Protection (CBP) and/or regulatory requirements and carry greater risk to the company and must be handled separately and corrected prior to summary for all FedEx Trade Networks divisions. Support other workgroups such as entry processing and cage functions when necessary

Completes various review activities that fall under the FedEx Trade Networks (FTN) One Brokerage review functions such as:
• Performs complex/high risk regulatory reviews that have the greatest exposure and/or risk for the company and our customers to ensure compliance such as but not limited to:  Antidumping Duty and Countervailing Duty (ADD/CVD), Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), (category 1).
• Completes any new regulatory and customer reviews prior to being assigned to the QA Analyst to ensure instructions and reference materials are clear and accurate.
• Performs complex Partner Government Agency (PGA) reviews such as but not limited to:  Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Submitted, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Analyzes and reviews entries prior to any FDA filer audit to ensure FTN will have a successful FDA review and ensure we remain on paperless filer status.
• Communicates with the customers and the bond team regarding obtaining a Customs bond if a bond change is required.
• Responsible for communicating any high risks, trends or unclear instructions to the appropriate team members/management.
• Identifies opportunities and make recommendations for process improvement for complex/high risk reviews.
• Corrects complex ABI errors that may require additional training in manifest systems to ensure timely and correct submission and payment of entries to CBP.
• Assesses appropriate level of duties/taxes payable to CBP with special emphasis on high value (over $250,000) shipments and/or validates the importance of any special program indicators and terms of sale that may apply.
• Issues referrals in the required format for accurate reporting. 
• Corresponds in writing or by telephone with customers, CBP or other governmental agencies at all levels regarding required documentation to resolve issues that could result in fines and penalties.

• Thorough understanding of the different requirements in systems and processes for each FTN division such as Air & Ocean, Border, CPA and GENEX
• Completes any other assigned tasks and supports other workgroups when necessary.

High school diploma/GED.  Three (3) years of brokerage experience required, which includes one (1) year of Quality Assurance or similar FedEx Trade Networks review experience. The ability to analyze data and information to make sound decisions in a time sensitive atmosphere.  Comprehensive knowledge of CBP and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations and tariff schedules, general import procedures and systems preferred.  Ability to work in a time sensitive environment with a high level of accuracy and productivity.  Critical thinking and attention to detail.  Excellent computer skills with the ability to work in a windows environment.  Strong communication skills, verbal and written.  CCS preferred.

• One (1) year of related experience as Quality Assurance Coordinator.
• All other duties as assigned.


HS Diploma or GED required. 3 years of business or customer service experience preferred. Required - MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner). Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Organizational Skills. Inter-personal skills. Problem solving Skills. Handle high volume of work. Handle time sensitive work. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Detail oriented. Able to work on a team

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.  The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $18.87 - $26.42 USD

Additional Details: Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Hybrid) Must live within 50 miles from location.
