Job description

Our client is seeking a Desktop Support professional to join their team. As a Desktop Support specialist, you will be part of the IT Operations team supporting staff at the Madison location. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Support

Location: Madison, WI - Onsite

Pay range: $19 - $21 / hr. on W2

What's the Job?

  • Provide technical assistance in support and preparation of desktop supported applications and hardware.
  • Image, diagnose, patch, and deploy desktop systems and other IT hardware such as mobile devices and printers.
  • Offer escalated support for complex issues from the help desk, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain knowledge of desktop operating systems, applications, and peripherals including wireless devices.
  • Support in-person IT needs at the Madison office, including hardware setup and troubleshooting.

What's Needed?

  • 4-7 years of experience in desktop support or related IT roles.
  • Ability to diagnose, patch, and deploy desktop systems and hardware.
  • Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with a variety of customers including executives.
  • Ability to lead and implement ITSM improvement initiatives based on ITIL and industry best practices.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
