The Job

The ATS Associate demonstrates a solid understanding of skateboarding gear and a desire to provide engaging skateboard lessons. By sharing expertise, building a vibrant community, and fostering genuine customer connections, the ATS Associate plays a key role in upholding evo's values of authenticity and outstanding service.

The Opportunity

• Collaborate with a motivated team to consistently elevate guest experiences, excelling in problem-solving with efficiency and thoughtfulness. 
• Attend product clinics to enhance gear knowledge and continuously improve your ability to offer unbiased advice during gear selection and lessons. 
• Listen attentively to guests to identify and address individual needs with kindness and transparency. 
• Conduct 1-on-1 or small group lessons for beginners and intermediate skateboarders, both scheduled and impromptu. 
• Participate in weekly community-focused events, open skate nights, summer camps, and similar initiatives. 
• Master evo's systems, policies, and procedures to ensure operational excellence. 
• Support ATS/evo Leadership team in daily operational procedures, including inventory management and annual inventory activities. 
• Actively represent evo at events and volunteer opportunities within the community. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

The Must Haves

• Ability to effectively multitask in a high energy, fast-paced omni-channel retail/skatepark environment  
• Be a self-starter who takes initiative and remains productive during down-time 
• Enjoy working with groups with a variety of different people where the setting changes daily.
• Honest communicator who welcomes the exchange of direct feedback
• Ability to work full day shifts, weekdays, and weekends, with the occasional holiday
• Passion to share your latest skateboarding adventure with the Seattle community  
• Experience selling skateboards, giving skate lessons, and creating a fun, safe atmosphere for all 
• Embodies, honors, and lives our core values: The Great 8 

The Nice to Haves

• 1 year of previous experience in skateboard sales, skate lessons, and creating safe, enjoyable environments is preferred. 
• Experience with Point of Sales system is Preferred

The base wage for this role ranges from $20.76/hr to $23.67/hr. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
