Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead FPGA Design Engineer with expertise in advanced signal processing and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, including Electronic Support and Electronic Attack. The successful candidate will lead FPGA design projects, focusing on coding, simulation, synthesis, place and route, and verification testing. This position involves working in a collaborative team environment to design and develop cutting-edge electronic warfare and multi-function systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $180K - $250K

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead FPGA design teams to implement and verify complex designs in large FPGA devices.
  • Perform simulation, synthesis, and placement using tools like ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado/ISE, and Altera Quartus.
  • Debug designs in a laboratory environment using advanced measurement devices (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Ensure timing closure in large FPGA designs.
  • Implement industry-standard interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe, JESD, DDR3).
  • Develop and test digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and Electronic Warfare techniques.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree with 9+ years of FPGA design experience (or Masters Degree with 7+ years).
    • Skilled in VHDL (preferred) or Verilog hardware development languages.
    • Proficiency with high-speed serial interfaces (3+ Gbps).
    • Knowledge of modulation, demodulation, digital filters, and Forward Error Correction (FEC).
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Experience implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA or ASIC devices.
    • Knowledge of Electronic Support and Electronic Attack signal processing.
    • Proficiency with Git or ClearCase for code revision management.
    • Familiarity with C/C++/C# and Matlab/Simulink.
