Job description

Private Duty Home Care  Outside Sales Representative

Silver Spring, Maryland | Field-Based / Hybrid

Must reside within 30 miles of Silver Spring, MD

Target First-Year Total Earnings: $80,000–$100,000+

Build a Market. Not Just a Book of Business.

EPIC is expanding its private-duty home care presence in Maryland and is looking for a sales professional who wants more than a territory—they want to help build something from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to bring ownership of a new segment to a company with a 35-year track record of excellence in an adjacent healthcare market (group homes for individuals with disabilities). EPIC is new to private duty in this region—but we are not new to delivering high-quality care, operating compliantly, or scaling healthcare services.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Why This Role Is Different

  • Market-builder opportunity: Help enhance EPIC’s private-duty brand and referral footprint
  • Proven backbone: 35 years of operational experience—this is not a startup experiment
  • Real earning power: Successful hires are expected to earn $80,000–$100,000+ in year one, with unlimited upside
  • Influence & visibility: Your feedback helps shape strategy, messaging, and referral approach
  • Private-pay focus: Relationship-driven sales without insurance complexity

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Mission

You will be one of the first dedicated private-duty outsides sales professionals in this market. Your job is to:

  • Build trusted referral relationships
  • Educate partners on EPIC’s private-duty offering
  • Convert referrals into long-term private-pay clients
  • Lay the foundation for scalable growth

If you’ve ever said, “I could do this better if I didn’t have to fight the system,” this role is built for you.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Compensation

  • Target First-Year Total Compensation: $80,000–$100,000+
  • Base Salary: Based on experience
  • Commission: Aggressive, uncapped, performance-based
  • Long-term upside: Early success creates compounding referral momentum

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect and develop private-duty referral sources including:
    • Hospitals and discharge planners
    • Rehab and skilled nursing facilities
    • Senior living communities
    • Geriatric care managers, elder-law attorneys, and community partners
  • Own your pipeline from first meeting to signed client
  • Represent EPIC as a trusted, responsive, relationship-driven provider
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging, positioning, and market strategy

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Who Will Excel Here

  • Experience in private-duty home care or relationship-based healthcare sales
  • Comfortable being an early builder—not waiting for inbound leads
  • Motivated by commission, autonomy, and influence
  • Strong communicator who earns trust quickly
  • Organized, persistent, and self-directed

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Location & Schedule

  • Must reside within 30 miles of Upper Marlboro, MD
  • Field-based (80%) with home office flexibility
  • Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00, with occasional early or evening meetings or calls to close deals

About EPIC

EPIC has provided residential and supportive services for individuals with disabilities for over 40 years. We are now bringing that same commitment, operational discipline, and care quality to the private-duty home care market—and we are building the right team to do it.

If you want to inherit a stale territory, this isn’t the role. If you want to help build a market—and be rewarded for it—we should talk.
