Warehouse Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Location: Reno, Nevada
Shift: 3rd Shift / Night Shift
Experience Required: 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or supervisory experience
Preferred: Food production or food distribution experience

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee nightly warehouse operations in Reno, Nevada. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse activities, coordinating staff and workflows, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving productivity to ensure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, picking, loading, and shipment of goods.

This position is specifically for candidates available to work 3rd shift/night shift.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant warehouse, distribution, or supervisory experience. Food production or food distribution experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor productivity reports and compare results against established objectives.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee nightly shipping, receiving, slotting, sanitation, equipment usage, and truck-loading operations.
  • Establish and manage nightly loading schedules.
  • Verify all outbound shipments for accuracy.
  • Review pick sheets for errors or discrepancies and ensure corrections are completed.
  • Prepare and process route invoices.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and requests to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain professionalism, respect, and courtesy when working with internal and external customers.
  • Enter, maintain, and update records using company systems.
  • Secure the facility after daily business hours.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Take accountability for individual and team performance and its impact on customers and overall company results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support company objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Assign duties and responsibilities to warehouse personnel.
  • Provide clear written and verbal instructions.
  • Prepare work schedules and coordinate workflow to meet operational demands.
  • Monitor employee performance and ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to company procedures.
  • Examine completed work for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address workplace issues and resolve employee concerns appropriately.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, safety, and productivity among warehouse staff.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising warehouse employees.
  • Must be available to work 3rd shift/night shift.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to enforce safety, quality, and operational standards.

Preferred:

  • Experience in food production, food distribution, or a food-related warehouse environment.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, order picking, loading, and warehouse management systems.
