Job description

An Auto Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various automotive systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Working both independently and within a team, technicians follow a flat rate compensation system and adhere to scheduled shifts while delivering quality service to customers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and exceptional problem-solving skills to address diverse repair needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify issues
  • Repair and maintain engines, brakes, electrical systems, and transmissions
  • Interact effectively with customers to explain repairs and services
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
  • Ensure safety compliance in all repair and maintenance tasks
  • Replace parts as needed to restore vehicle functionality
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and service history

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in auto repair
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in mechanical diagnostics and brake systems
  • Experience with engine repair, electrical systems, and transmission repair
