Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Teacher of TV Broadcasting provides comprehensive instruction in television production, digital media, and broadcast journalism to high school students. The instructor equips students with the technical knowledge and creative skills necessary to pursue careers in media production, broadcasting, and communications or continue their education in post-secondary programs. Instruction includes both theoretical concepts and hands-on training in video production, editing, scripting, and live broadcasting, while preparing students for industry-recognized standards and maintaining a professional studio environment in accordance with New Jersey Department of Education guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 5 years of documented, relevant work experience in television production, broadcasting, digital media, or a related field.
  • Teaching experience is a plus but not required.
  • Must hold or be eligible for NJ CTE certification: Teacher of TV Broadcasting (4102).
  • Strong knowledge of video production and editing software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
