About the job

About eMeasurematics

eMeasurematics develops advanced industrial automation, material tracking, Digital Twin, and

yard and warehouse management solutions for some of the world's leading steel, metals,

manufacturing, logistics, and heavy-industry operations.

Our solutions combine enterprise software, industrial hardware, IoT devices, sensors, real-time

data, and automation technologies to solve complex operational challenges.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who can help ensure

these systems are reliable, scalable, and ready for deployment in demanding industrial

environments.

About the Role

As an SDET, you will work closely with our software developers, product teams, and engineers

to build and maintain automated testing frameworks and ensure the quality of our software

platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who understands both software development and

quality engineering and enjoys identifying problems before they reach production.

You will test web applications, APIs, backend services, databases, integrations, and systems that

interact with industrial equipment and IoT devices.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites.

• Build automated tests for web applications, APIs, backend services, and system

integrations.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.

• Develop reusable automation scripts and tools to improve testing efficiency.

• Validate data flowing between applications, databases, APIs, IoT devices, and external

systems.

• Test complex workflows within industrial yard, warehouse, material tracking, and

automation applications.

• Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects through resolution.

• Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and determine root causes.

• Participate in requirements, architecture, and design reviews to ensure applications are

testable from the beginning.

• Help integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform API testing and validate application integrations.

• Conduct load and performance testing for critical applications and services.

• Help improve application monitoring, logging, alerting, and overall system reliability.

• Track testing coverage, defects, and release readiness.

• Support testing of software releases before deployment to customer environments.

What We're Looking For

• Recent Graduate with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology,

or a related technical field.

• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.

• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.

• Programming or scripting experience with Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or

similar languages.

• Experience with automation/testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Jest,

JUnit, PyTest, Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.

• Experience with SQL and validating data within relational databases.

• Understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, middleware, and distributed

applications.

• Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with software developers and cross-functional

engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Industrial automation or manufacturing software

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Yard Management Systems (YMS)

• IoT or connected-device testing

• Real-time tracking or location-based applications

• RFID, GPS, sensors, PLCs, or industrial hardware integrations

• Digital Twin applications

• Performance/load testing tools such as JMeter or k6

• Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

• Docker or containerized applications

• Monitoring and observability tools

• Security testing

• Agile/Scrum software development environments

What Makes This Role Different

At eMeasurematics, you won't just test traditional business applications.

You'll help validate software that interacts with real-world industrial operations, equipment,

sensors, vehicles, cranes, material movements, and automated workflows.

The right candidate will be comfortable testing across the entire system—from the user interface

and APIs to databases, integrations, devices, and the underlying business logic that keeps

industrial operations moving.
