Position Overview
A well-established accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its growing team. This opportunity offers exposure to a diverse client portfolio, meaningful client interaction, and a clear path for continued career development. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong technical tax knowledge and experience managing multiple priorities in a client-service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review a variety of federal and state tax filings for business entities, trusts, and individual taxpayers.
- Assist clients with tax compliance matters, planning initiatives, and reporting requirements.
- Research tax regulations and provide recommendations on technical tax issues.
- Respond to client inquiries and assist with correspondence related to taxing authorities.
- Support accounting and financial reporting functions for assigned client engagements.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects, process improvements, and advisory initiatives.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Progress toward CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Approximately 3-5 years of recent tax experience within a public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with accounting, tax preparation, and Microsoft Office applications.
