Dynamic Integrated Security (DIS) is a professional security services company dedicated to protecting educational communities through highly trained personnel and exceptional operational standards.

We are currently seeking Commissioned School Security Officers (CSSO) to provide armed security services across the campuses of Jonesboro Public Schools, helping safeguard students, faculty, staff, and visitors every day.

DIS currently holds a three-year contract with Jonesboro Public Schools, with the opportunity for renewal, providing long-term stability and career continuity for high-performing officers.

As a Commissioned School Security Officer (CSSO), you will help maintain a safe and secure learning environment through a highly visible security presence, access control, threat prevention, and rapid emergency response while working closely with school administrators under the supervision of Dynamic Integrated Security.

What We Offer

• $23.00 per hour
• W2 Employee
• SchoolYear Contract
Work Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
• Approximately 170 school days per year, following the Jonesboro Public Schools academic calendar.
• Five (5) paid inclement weather days included in the contract.
Job Stability

Although this position follows the academic calendar, DIS maintains a three-year contract with Jonesboro Public Schools, with the potential for renewal, providing continued employment opportunities for officers who demonstrate strong performance.

Essential ResponsibilitiesAs a Commissioned School Security Officer, you will:
• Maintain a highly visible armed security presence throughout the school day.
• Monitor and control campus access points.
• Enforce visitor management and access control procedures.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond to medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical incidents.
• Participate in evacuation, lockdown, and emergency response drills.
• Build positive professional relationships with students, faculty, and school staff.
• Complete accurate incident and activity reports.
• Coordinate with the Jonesboro Police Department and emergency responders when necessary.
• Provide security during athletic events and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
• Adhere at all times to DIS Use of Force policies, Arkansas Act 393 requirements, and Jonesboro Public Schools policies.

Minimum QualificationsCandidates must meet the following requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Hold a valid Arkansas Commissioned School Security Officer (CSSO) License, or be eligible to obtain one prior to employment.
• Successfully pass state and federal background investigations.
• No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanor offenses.
• Successfully pass a psychological evaluation.
• Successfully pass a preemployment drug screening.
• Successfully complete the DIS firearms qualification course.
• Possess a valid Arkansas driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand, walk for extended periods, and respond effectively during emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in any of the following is highly preferred:

• Military service
• Law enforcement
• Corrections
• School security
• School Resource Officer (SRO)

DIS provides all required training at no cost to eligible officers, including:

• Arkansas Act 393 Certification Program
• Firearms Qualification
• CPR / First Aid / AED
• ALERRT Active Threat Response
• Deescalation Techniques
• Crisis Intervention
• Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid

• Safariland Level III duty holster
• Duty belt
