    Job description

    Job Summary:
    DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a successful IT Consulting/Staffing firm focused on enterprise integration and implementation services. They are seeking an experienced Integration & API Engineer to support a large-scale Customer Transformation Program by designing and implementing middleware and integration solutions that facilitate communication between enterprise systems.
    Responsibilities:
    โ€ข Design, develop, implement, and support middleware and integration solutions connecting multiple enterprise systems as part of a customer transformation initiative.
    โ€ข Build and maintain RESTful APIs and asynchronous integration services to support scalable, high-performance business processes.
    โ€ข Develop integration solutions using MuleSoft and modern API-led connectivity principles.
    โ€ข Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native integration services using Azure, including Java (Spring Boot) and Python-based applications.
    โ€ข Collaborate with SAP technical teams to review integrations involving SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), providing design reviews, code reviews, and technical consultation.
    โ€ข Design and implement event-driven architectures leveraging Apache Kafka for real-time messaging and distributed event processing.
    โ€ข Participate in detailed requirements gathering, technical analysis, solution design, and documentation activities.
    โ€ข Produce high-quality technical documentation, including API specifications, interface designs, sequence diagrams, and integration workflows.
    โ€ข Apply established integration architecture patterns and best practices to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
    โ€ข Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
    โ€ข Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to enable efficient build, deployment, and release management.
    โ€ข Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
    โ€ข Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
    โ€ข Track work assignments, user stories, defects, and project progress using Jira while participating in Agile ceremonies.
    Qualifications:
    Required:
    โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    โ€ข 5+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise integration solutions.
    โ€ข Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging solutions.
    โ€ข Strong experience with MuleSoft or similar enterprise integration platforms.
    โ€ข Experience developing cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure, including: Java (Spring Boot), Python, Azure services.
    โ€ข Experience working with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including participation in architecture reviews, code reviews, or integration design discussions.
    โ€ข Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
    โ€ข Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API design best practices.
    โ€ข Experience performing requirements analysis, technical design, and solution documentation.
    โ€ข Experience developing automated testing strategies and test automation frameworks.
    โ€ข Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment automation.
    โ€ข Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
    โ€ข Proficiency using Jira to manage work items, user stories, and defects.
    Preferred:
    โ€ข Experience with large-scale customer transformation or digital transformation initiatives.
    โ€ข Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP enterprise applications.
    โ€ข Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerized deployments.
    โ€ข Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
    โ€ข Utility or energy industry experience is preferred but not required.
