To thrive as a Doctor, you need an in-depth understanding of medical science, strong diagnostic skills, and a medical degree accompanied by appropriate licensure. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), diagnostic imaging systems, and up-to-date medical technologies is essential. Excellent communication, empathy, and decision-making abilities help doctors build trust with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering accurate diagnoses, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality medical care.

What are some common challenges doctors face when collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams?

Doctors often work closely with nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive patient care. Job description

As a Radiology Technologist at DMOS working, you’ll help our patients get back to living by taking the first step in care: getting x-ray images to figure out what’s wrong. Every day you will work alongside our clinical team and fellow Radiology Technologists to create a comfortable patient experience, ensuring everyone gets their questions answered and understands their journey to healing. To thrive in this role, you must have a Permit to Practice in the state of Iowa, active ARRT Certification and care about the wellbeing of every patient you see. We are a clinical office with Monday - Friday hours, no call and no weekend coverage.

All offices operate Monday - Friday; 8AM - 5PM. We also do have 3 Urgent Injury Clinics throughout the Des Moines Metro with Saturday coverage (8AM - 12PM).

    Here’s What You Can Expect

    • You’ll be on your feet most of the day greeting and preparing patients for their x-ray exam before operating the x-ray machine to capture high-quality images. You are the patient's kind guide and reliable helper during their appointment.
    • Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the physician. This is a private practice where you’ll have access to ask questions of the care team if you need any clarification.
    • A small, close-knit team of professionals you can rely on who work closely with our doctors and staff to provide patient care we are proud of.

    What We’re Looking For

    • An active ARRT certification to perform Radiology Exams and permit to practice in the state of Iowa.
    • You know how to communicate calmly and provide reassurance when patients are nervous. You know how important it is to listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting your patient.
    • Independent worker. You know how to keep yourself focused and when to ask for help.

    Why DMOS?

    • Reliable schedule with no on-call hours
    • 401(k) with company contribution even if you don’t make one.
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance including generous PTO with the option for hourly employees to earn up to 22 days a year
    • We’ll celebrate 70 years of orthopedic care in 2025

Apply today by going to dmos.com/about/careers. If you are qualified, you will hear from our recruiting team within 3 days of a completed application to start the interview process.
