Job description

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate is experienced in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and capable of maintaining high standards of quality and safety in a team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and perform layouts on CNC machine tools.

  • Review blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine machining requirements.

  • Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

  • Measure, mark, and indicate reference points and dimensions on raw materials or parts.

  • Select, align, and secure appropriate cutting tools, workpieces, and fixtures on machines.

  • Adjust machine settings to regulate speed, feed, and other machining factors.

  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.

  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

  • Assist the maintenance team with equipment diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

  • Comply with all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machining.

  • Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent training preferred.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, including GD&T.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain tight tolerances and conduct component inspections.

  • Skilled in CNC machine setup and operation.

  • Solid understanding of tooling geometry and machine applications.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Must be able to speak and understand English.

  • Willingness to work overtime when required.


Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Experience programming CNC machines.

  • Familiarity with Mori Seiki, Okuma, and Haas equipment.
