Job description

As a Restaurant Line Cook at DALAH Pasadena in our casual dining establishment, you will play a key role in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen sanitation. Working within a medium-sized team of 4-6 members, you will operate specialized kitchen equipment such as wok, grills, fryers, mixers, and slicers, as well as standard stoves and ovens. This position requires adaptability to split, rotating, and fixed shifts, ensuring efficient and timely service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and customer requests
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Assemble orders accurately and promptly for service
  • Operate specialized kitchen equipment and prep machines safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of cooks and kitchen staff
  • Manage time wisely to meet service demands during shifts

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant cooking
  • Food handler certification or ServSafe certification
  • Knowledge of food safety handling practices
  • Proficient knife skills
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, as well as perform some heavy lifting
  • Attention to detail in food preparation
  • Excellent teamwork skills and POSITIVE, SUPPORTIVE ATTITUDE to collaborate effectively within our team
