Job description

Description

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in a safe and high-performing manufacturing environment?

At Custom Profile, we thrive on a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence. We are seeking a Finishing Operator to perform essential finishing, inspection, and assembly tasks. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving our core team goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery. If you have strong hands-on problem-solving skills and want to contribute to an efficient, safe, and enjoyable workplace, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do (Essential Duties)

  • Production & Execution: Complete manual finishing and assembly tasks as assigned by your department lead or supervisor using standard work methods.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Carefully inspect components for surface quality, color consistency, profile appearance, and exact dimensions. Utilize item spec sheets to verify accuracy and immediately flag quality variances to leadership.
  • Shift Documentation: Maintain clear, precise, and timely production and finishing paperwork throughout your shift.
  • Proactive Planning: Coordinate ahead of time with material handlers regarding upcoming production runs, required materials, and necessary line changeovers.
  • 5S & Workplace Organization: Champion clean and organized production lines by following daily housekeeping and 5S protocols, including the correct labeling and sorting of scrap gaylords and barrels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Bring a positive, proactive attitude to the team to help make production processes safer, more efficient, and more streamlined.

Requirements

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
  • Core Strengths: A positive attitude, excellent dependability (being here every single day), the ability to be a great teammate, and strong multi-tasking skills.

Physical Demands & Safety Requirements

  • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand in one place and perform continuous, repetitive physical movements for the duration of a standard work shift.
  • Safety is Always First: Approved safety glasses, hearing protection, and closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
