Job description

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in their homes and communities. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, meaningful routines, and strong community connections.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks)

  • Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy

  • Encourage participation in community activities, employment, and social opportunities

  • Follow individual support plans, behavioral support strategies, and health plans

  • Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times

  • Complete accurate and timely service documentation

  • Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

  • Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances)

  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience supporting individuals with IDD is a plus, but not required
