    Job Duties

    • Conduct occupational safety and health assessments at our client site, the National Institutes of Health, to evaluate and control exposures to biological, physical, and chemical exposures in the workplace.
    • Identify and evaluate hazards in laboratories, laboratory support areas, and general industrial areas.
    • Evaluate exposures, assess controls in place, and recommend additional controls to reduce risk.
    • Focus on supporting the Respiratory Protection, Ergonomics, and Laser Safety Programs and issue reports to clearly communicate recommendations.
    • Document findings and activity using of commercial software programs.

    Job Requirements

    Employer will accept a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field and 1 years of experience in the job offered or in an Industrial Hygienist-related occupation.

    Position requires experience in the following:

    (1.) Experience conducting industrial hygiene assessments, including qualitative exposure assessments, and assessments using exposure monitoring equipment.

    (2.) Experience surveying biomedical research areas, industrial and medical lasers and laser systems.

    (3.) Experience conducting ergonomic assessments of office workstations, laboratory workstations, and industrial activities.

    (4.) Experience supporting the respiratory protection program, to include assisting with program updates, respirator selection, training, and fit testing.

    (5.) Experience in databases and software, including MS Office, MS PowerBi, MS Bookings, Cority (commercial EHS software), TSI, Inc. equipment software.

    Wage Transparency Language

    The pay range for this position in Bethesda, Maryland is $71,096.40/year - $75,000 /year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided by Maryland Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
