    Job description

    Description:

Timber Technologies Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Finger Joint Table / Crowder Operator to join our production team manufacturing glulam beams and columns. If you have an eye for quality, enjoy skilled hands-on work, and want to be part of the process that turns raw lumber into structural building materials, we'd love to talk with you.

    Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:45-5:15PM

    Occasional Friday Overtime

    Requirements:

What you'll do:  You'll feed lumber onto the finger joint table in proper sequence, working from daily production sheets to match the correct species, grade, and quantity. You'll cut boards to standard for defects like knots, splits, and wane, ensure finger joint cutters are producing clean, quality joints, and confirm glue is applied correctly at every stage. From there, you'll load boards into the Crowder in the right sequence and configuration, keeping a close eye on quality and consistency throughout the run.

This role sits at a key point in our production process — the quality you build in here carries through to the finished product.

    What you'll bring:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Ability to read and follow daily production sheets
    • Working knowledge of lumber grading standards
    • Comfort using measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, moisture meter)
    • Prior experience operating machines with HMI (Human Machine Interface) panels
    • Experience with powered hand tools
    • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision

What to expect:  This is an indoor manufacturing role with occasional outdoor work. You'll be on your feet for most of the shift (8–10 hours standing), sometimes working overhead, in an environment with varying temperatures and typical plant noise.

Why Timber Technologies?  We're a growing glulam manufacturer based in Colfax, WI, building products that go into real structures for the last 23 years.
