JOB SUMMARY

CPPI is seeking an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent to support and lead field operations on K-12 and Higher Education construction projects. Depending on experience level, this role may be responsible for assisting with or directly overseeing daily jobsite operations, including safety, quality control, schedule management, subcontractor coordination, and project execution.


Working closely with Project Managers, Senior Superintendents, and project teams, this position plays a critical role in delivering successful educational facilities, including new construction, renovations, additions, and occupied campus projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills while maintaining CPPI's commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 3-5+ years of commercial construction field experience required; Superintendent-level candidates should have experience independently managing field operations.
  • K-12 and/or Higher Education construction experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality standards while meeting project deadlines and schedule requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Ability to perform construction-related calculations and measurements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist project leadership with day-to-day field operations and project coordination.
  • Support implementation of site logistics plans and jobsite management strategies.
  • Help coordinate daily and weekly construction activities among subcontractors and trade partners.
  • Participate in project meetings, progress updates, and trade coordination discussions.
  • Monitor project schedules and assist with look-ahead planning efforts.
  • Support jobsite safety initiatives and help enforce established safety requirements and OSHA standards.
  • Assist with quality control inspections and ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain organized field documentation, including daily reports, punch lists, inventories, and project records.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and assist with procurement tracking.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and communicate concerns to project leadership.
  • Support project teams with RFIs, submittals, and field coordination activities.
  • Assist with tracking job costs, timesheets, invoices, and related project documentation.
  • Utilize company policies, procedures, and best practices to support project success.
  • Participate in training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and contribute to a positive project experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and company objectives.
