Job description

POSITION AVAILABLE: School Bus Driver


START DATE: August 6, 2026


SCHEDULE: Minimum of 4 1/2 hours per day, five days per week. 
PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a Bus Driver, your major responsibilities will be to:

  • Safely transports students 
  • Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections
  • Assists students in the loading and unloading process


COMPENSATION:

  • $27.00 - $28.00, per hour. 
  • Signing Bonus $500.00 paid in December 2026.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have good verbal communication skills
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years (with proper endorsements)
  • Must be able to pass a level II background check, drug test and DOT health physical
  • Must have your P, S, and Air Break Endorsements (Class B Driver License)
  • Must have a clean driving record. (No violates for the past 3 years)
  • Must have two or more years experience as a school bus driver.

Established in 2002, Cornerstone, has been educating Jacksonville's Youth for over 26 years.
