Job description

Corner Pantry in Rapid City, SD area are hiring for Cashiers for varying shifts at multiple locations.

We are looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashiers to join our convenience store team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, can multitask in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Main Duties
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well stocked.
  • Check identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policies and local laws.
  • Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock.
  • Prepare coffee and other self-service food and beverage areas as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve concerns courteously.
  • Perform opening, closing, and other assigned store duties.
Qualifications
  • Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
