At Corbion, we exist to champion preservation in all its forms, preserving food and food production, health, and our planet. The Warehouse Technician is based at the Totowa, NJ plant and reports directly to a Warehouse Supervisor. This is a second shift position; shift is from 2PM - 10:30PM.

Essential FunctionsFollow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA, Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.Be on time for work and report to yourworkstationready to work at the set time.Adhere to break and lunch times.Maintain a positive attitude with a focus onsafety,the customer. teamwork, and quality productivity.Reconfiguring pallets by picking multiple ingredients in warehouse and re-stacking the full units of ingredients ontoanotherpallets. Full units may weigh as much as 55lbs.Weighing outvarious typesof raw materials less than a full pack size according to formula.

This entails using a scoop to transfer weight from one container to another.Work in a deliberate mannertoachieve KPI's in specific areas set by supervision.You need to wear proper PPE depending on the types of material you are working with. They will be providedforyou.Attend andparticipatein training and meetings.Engage in process improvements, make recommendations and suggestions to improve workplace safety, efficiency, and to better serve the customer.Keep the work environment clean andfree from debristo ensure operational efficiency.Follow-uponinstructions from supervisors or written procedures.Duties,responsibilitiesand activitiesassociated with this positionmaybemodifiedor expanded at any time,with or withoutpriornotice, to meet evolving organizational needs.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma orits equivalent.Basic math and ability to readtofollow formulas and SOPs.Experienced in performing electronic transactions due to physical movements of ingredients across the production facility.Potential foroperatinga forklift. Trainingdoneon site.Able to physically lift up to 55 lbs to re-stack pallets with raw materials containers.Work accurately,methodicallyand deliberately.Good communicationskillsandteam-orientedmentality.Willingness to work second shift with occasional weekend shifts, and overtime hours as needed.Working Environment:Manufacturingplant islarge, open floor areas with loud machinery, requiring some areas for workers to wear ear protection to guard against noise.Workers may be exposed to elevated temperatures during the summer months; and some work may berequiredin cold environments during winter months.Workersare required towear GMP compliant hair and beard nets, company-provided uniforms, and gloves to protect the product frompossible contamination.

Certain areas require respirators.Production/Warehouse areas aredustysoyou willbe exposed to dust while working.*IMPORTANT*In this position, you may be exposed to common airborne or surface food allergens-including, but not limited to, wheat, soy, eggs, dairy, and sesame-during the handling, mixing, storage, transport of materials, or when accessing the production floor.Physical Requirements:Climbing, balancing stooping,crouching,crawling, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting overhead, use of fingers, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.You willbe requiredto lift a maximum of55 poundsfrequentlyduring the shift.You willbe requiredtoreach above and below the shouldersand overheadwhen stacking or unstacking max of 55-pound containers(boxes/bags) onto other pallets.Workers usually stand forthe majority oftheir shifts.Corrected vision, speaking ability, and hearing are usually involved in performing written and verbal job functions.Our Offer This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation and other terms and conditions of employment are subject to the provisions of that agreement. Please note, pay rates and compensation programs may be modified in the future based on business needs, policy updates, or union negotiations, as applicable.

The compensation for this position is a fixed hourly rate of $ 22.00 per hour. In addition to the base rate, shift differentials apply as follows: $ 1.10 per hour for second shift and $ 1.65 per hour for third shift.
