The Role

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant facility by overseeing daily sanitation activities, supporting training efforts, and maintaining high standards for food safety. This role partners closely with the Sanitation Manager and leads hourly associates to ensure all sanitation tasks are executed effectively and consistently.

You Are

Able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Performing daily facility checks, supervising hourly associates, and ensuring all sanitation tasks are completed.
  • Training staff on chemical use, sanitation standards, and safety procedures; identifying ongoing training needs.
  • Maintaining clean, organized chemical storage areas and serving as a secondary contact for chemical/linen vendors.
  • Conducting routine dish machine checks and ensuring corrective actions from audits/inspections are completed.
  • Supporting the Sanitation Manager in implementing the Master Sanitation Plan and leading with a hands-on, accountable approach.
  • Completing end-of-shift reports summarizing task completion, staffing updates, and operational issues.
Must-Haves
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in food processing or manufacturing.
  • Strong commitment to sanitation, food safety, and proper chemical handling.
  • Experience training hourly staff and managing performance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of dish machine operation and sanitation procedures.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (required).
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or facility operations.
  • Familiarity with sanitation or inventory management systems.
