Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and motivated Production Associates for seasonal roles, with strong opportunities to transition into permanent positions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process by handling materials, performing quality inspections, packaging goods, and operating industrial machinery once fully trained.

Wage:

$20.40 - 26/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished products from production machinery.
• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and perform precise measurements using custom tools to ensure quality standards.
• Packaging: Band, secure, and package material bundles safely for transit.
• Heavy Lifting: Lift 15–30 lbs repetitively, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Measurement Tracking: Use tape measures accurately in both imperial and metric units.
• Equipment Operation: Learn to operate overhead cranes and forklifts following company training and certification.
• Production Support: Assist with machine adjustments using basic tools and support mechanical troubleshooting during startup or unexpected downtime.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Tool Experience: 6+ months of experience safely operating basic hand and power tools is an asset
• Measurement Skills: Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/8 of an inch and in centimeters.
• Basic Math: Solid fundamental math skills for checking production dimensions.
• Industrial Experience: 6+ months of experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle repetitive lifting and stand for long periods.
• Availability: Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

Asset Qualifications (Not Required, But Preferred)

• Previous forklift experience or certification.
• Prior overhead crane operation experience.
• Valid First Aid certification.

Work Environment

• Team Dynamic: Work alongside a collaborative shift team of approximately 16 employees, balancing independent tasks and teamwork.
• Facility Conditions: Typical heavy industrial environment that naturally shifts with seasonal outdoor temperatures (warm in summer, cool in winter) and features constant machine noise requiring mandatory hearing protection.
• Shift Schedule: Variety of shifts including days, afternoon, and continental shift patterns featuring 12-hour shifts that rotate between days and nights every two weeks.
• PPE Requirements: Steel-toe work boots are required.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Abbotsford,BC.
